Hello!

I'm working on a 165.024 with what seems to be a amalgamation of parts which is making things a bit of a wild card. The watch has a service caseback and I could not get a solid read on which midcase it has. (maybe even be a knockoff which would be a possible option).

The watch had a non screw down crown on it with a very wonky case tube that needed to be replaced.

I sourced a 090ST1306 case tube & 069ST42028 crown to prep for install.

After removing the previous case tube from the case, it looks like it is bored for a 2mm casetube and does not fit the 090ST1306.

First question would be... is a midcase with a screw down crown bored for a 2mm case tube? Couldn't find any info on the dims of a 090ST0133.

I'm currently just going to replace it with a tube that will match the 069ST42028 crown as best I can with a 2mm case side OD, but if it originally was setup for a screw-down crown, I would like to pursue that eventually.

Thank you for any knowledge on this!

You have a completely different case number in the title than in the body of your message. I assume what you are after is the 165024 in the body of the post, and not 154024 in the title. Note that you really have to be specific on what case you have.

For the 165024 the crown is 069ST42028 and the case tube is 090ST1306 - this is not a screw down system.

For the 166024 the crown is 069ST42028 and the case tube is 090ST9002 - this is not a screw down system.

For the 165024SP case, the crown is 069ST42062 and the case tube is 090ST0133- this is a screw down system.

For the 166024SP case, the crown is 069ST42062 and the case tube is 090ST0133 - this is a screw down system.

These same part numbers on the two SP cases are used on the modern replacement cases, the 1660324 cases.

Now Omega doesn't give any sizes on these parts, but I do have stock of many case tubes.

I have 2 of the above in stock, so here are the diameters:

090ST9002 - 2 mm where it goes into the case, 2.5 mm for the crown.

090ST0133 - 2.2 mm where it goes into the case, 3.2 for the crown.

Since you have the 090ST1306 we have all that we need for this puzzle. If the 090ST1306 does not fit, then the only conclusion that makes sense is that this is a 166024 case, not 165024, so you need the 069ST42028 crown and 090ST9002 case tube.

Yikes! Yes I mistyped there. Thanks for inferring beyond my mistake!

Unfortunately the case is the part I'm completely unsure about which it actually is.

It does appear to have a 2mm tube bore so it does reason it could be a 166024 case. I will source a 090ST9002 and find out!

Thank you so very much Archer for your time measuring the tubes you have and answering my inquiry. I greatly appreciate it.
