·I asked about this a while back and the consensus is that the spring is worn. The local AD wasn't very helpful so the spring never got replaced. It stays locked up no problem but there's more play than it should have and I think it would benefit with a fresh spring. I'm looking for the part number for the tiny spring that is removed when the set screw (with the arrow) is removed.
I took the spring out and best I can see is its maybe lost is springy'ness. I was hoping for dirt and gunk in there causing the problem but thats not the case. I'd also be curious if the spring loaded "button" part could be replaced as it has slight wear as well. If not I'd settle for the spring haha. Esslinger has generic set screws and slider screws but I cannot find the spring anywhere. Doesnt help that the part number 1575 brings up so many Rolex 1575 movement parts 🙁
If anyone knows where I could find this spring, thanks in advance.
