Jacques Mayol was a legendary French skin diver, author and philosopher, famous for breaking numerous records in his lifetime including being the first man to descend to 100 meters. Mayol was born in China in 1927, and at the age of 7, while diving with his older brother in the sea off Kyushu, Japan, he had an encounter with a dolphin that would go on to shape his entire career and imbue him with a life-long love of the ocean. I watched « Dolphin Man » just a few days ago. Lots of watches in this movie. Very interesting man. Free dive to 101 metres!

Dang, I'd have to be really in dire straits to sell my famous grandfather's watch, doubly so if said grandfather helped design it!

I know I only feel this way because I'm a watch nerd, but still I can't imagine letting that one go.

I did this with kid the other day and made it 80 seconds. So, the world record is not at any risk from me. 😂

But, I am using it while doing some strenuous breath holding tonight:
