This watch was just offered to me by a Jeweler friend. He wants $3500 for it. 14k gold Seamaster DeVille with Omega 14k gold bracelet. He says it has about $1900 in gold value. Says the watch is running and keeping good time and looks “pristine”. He is not going to open it because it is a top loader. He says it came from its original owner. Anyone see any issues with it?
The watch is not for me. If anyone is interested in it please contact me and I can connect you with the seller. I am located in MA

IMHO the price is too high - I would feel more comfortable at 2500
The majority of collectors don´t appreciate integrated bracelets

The crown is incorrect and the price is high.

I would feel comfortable at scrap, and I doubt there is $1900 of it.

Thanks for all the feedback
I have not held this watch I’ve only seen these pictures. My response to my friend was that the price was too high and that I didn’t like the integrated bracelet.
He buys gold and silver and said he felt without weighing it and without removing the movement there was $1900 scrap value. That was an estimate he made
Again all feedback is much appreciated thanks

Think the number will be close

Even if it has $1900 of gold in it that means he’s asking $1600 for a pretty common vintage Seamaster. That’s way over the odds if you ask me.
