I received this book many years ago as a gift from someone who knew I had just bought my first Omega and it was the first watch book in fact that I ever owned. While it didn't become a regularly opened reference, it was something I quite enjoyed as my first book and as such still holds a place in my bookcase. [..]

I agree. 650USD is unreasonnable, I’m glad I bought mine new at retail price. It is still as new which is a sign it isn’t a reference book for me (contrary to AJTT 😉).

Yea for this price selling mine crossed my mind too, it was cool in the early days when I only had one Omega but hasn’t been opened in a long time.

Thai is and 'Omega Watches' are both Goldberger books and when I first got them many years ago I spent hours admiring the pictures and fantasizing about owning some of the references inside. I too paid a normal price for both volumes and at that felt them good value for the content inside as IIRC these are also both per AJTT.

I wouldn't however consider buying it for some of these prices being quoted.

Its still far from the most expensive… I would love to have a copy of Omega Saga from 1998 but I don’t really see any way that’s going to happen any time soon…. Maybe I’ll try to borrow one some time at least once I’ve brushed up on my French.
