    Hi Omega-people,

on my wish-list for a long time: a 14900 Constellation...
With all the counterfeit and franken watches in mind i'm kinda scared to take the offer i got recently.
I saw the watch in person and made pics but the SD-card went on strike... so no pics to judge.
But maybe my main question is an easy one for you:

The caseback's inside was not milled , it was stamped and has the data: 14900 62 SC
It was equipped with date ( movement 561) and this confuses me... should'nt it house a 551 non-date?

thanks for every attempt to bring light into darkness... ;-) !

According to the Omega database, this should indeed be calibre 551.

As noted ref 14900 is one of the most faked of all Constellation cases.

    Cal 561 should be a 149002.

If this is what the inside of the caseback looks like, then it's not good:

The above is one of the infamous fakes.

The scary thing is how openly these 14900 fakes are being sold online

thanks guys ! So i'll have to chase another on... ;-(

According the omega base the hour markers and hands are GOLD on the 14900 62 SC
I found a 14900 61 SC with silver markers and silver hands....
Here comes the question: Tells a 14900 62 SC with silver markers and silver hands
    automatically it is fake?

    NO.
Omega database is vastly incomplete, listing only one possibility for dial configuration when there were typically many different options available.

thanks for clarifying regarding the database!
I'd be more keen on the silver version, but not if it's fake.
