I'd really appreciate any help from the bracelet experts :)

I've got my eye on a Flat Jedi, but it doesn't appear to be on the right bracelet.

It's on a 1171 with 175 end pieces - I'm aware that the original bracelet should be 1116/148. By the way, if I'm not mistaken, 1171/175 is the bracelet for the NOT-real "TV" Jedi, 176.005.

I believe that Omega say 1171 can be used for 145.024, but I'm not sure about the best end pieces. Ofrei say 735 or 699 can be used with 1171 for the Flat Jedi, but as I mentioned, this one I've spotted has 175.

    So my questions are:

    1. Was 175 ever the service end piece for the Jedi when used with 1171?
    2. What's the difference between these three end pieces?
    3. Are they really interchangeable?
    4. Is it better to change the 175 to 699 or 735?
    5. Any other bracelet possibilities for the flat Jedi?

Thanks for your help - much appreciated!

When I took mine in to the local Omega Boutique, they told me the replacement bracelet is the 1171 with 699 end links, which corroborates what Ofrei states. For what it's worth, the Omega Boutique is cheaper than what Ofrei is asking for the 1171/699.

The 699 is removable while the 175 is integrated. All these braceletss were available as options for these watches and none were dedicated to a particular model.

Thanks for that - very useful to know.

Yeah, Ofrei isn't exactly cheap - terrific resource, though.

Now that's interesting! Wasn't aware of either of those pieces of info. Makes me much happier about going for a Jedi with 1171/175. Thanks!

Also, since posting the initial questions, I found pics of the silver Flat Jedi with 175 ends (and presumably a 1171 bracelet) on Chuck's pages. I guess this shows that you're absolutely spot on about all these bracelets/ends being optional across ranges.

As an aside, I know 1171/699 is also what Omega says was the bracelet for the Memomatic Pilot (I picked up a totally mint example a month back, but without a bracelet. I've since put it on Omega 20mm mesh). I guess 1171/175 would go on the Memomatic if 699 and 175 are essentially the same. This is another reason to consider the Jedi...

Thanks a lot for the enlightenment!

Thanks. I never paid much attention but the case sure looks pretty beat up in that photo. Maybe I should have it polished.

Nice - lovely case condition! Did you pick it up like that or did you have that sunburst finish re-done?

Actually, another question prompted by your pic and efauser's plan for case refurbishment: can that sunburst finish be done by most Omega Service Centres or is it only London and Bienne (and someone in Seattle)? That's what I've read regarding Flightmaster cases and was wondering if the Jedi was the same.

Good thing I'm a young guy still, or I would have definitely had one, haha!

By the way, I see you're a horns fan. Thanks for churning out Justin Tucker, huge Ravens fan here!

One of the bright spots over the last few years. His game-winning field goal to beat A&M in the final game, earned him a prominent spot in Longhorn lore.

Condition is nice, but I think the hands are in wrong colours for this dial. The normal hands should have different colour to the chrono hands, like those on pascs's watch.
