    Dear All:

I have done much research and I've only been able to come up with conflicting specifications between these two models of Omega Speedmaster Japan Racing Dials.

From my research online, I discovered that:

    145.022: 40mm
    3570.40: 42mm

Yet, when I asked a highly informed Omega collector, he told me that they are BOTH 40mm -- and it's merely a matter of how people measured the cases.

That's hard to believe because if you looked at the number of sellers or articles written about these two models, it is clear that the 145.022 is 40mm and likewise, it is clear that the 3570.40 is 42mm.

Yet, I personally measured the 145.022 and it really is MORE than 40mm, even without including the crown.

I'm unable to resolve this discrepancy.

Furthermore, I was unable to find (on Omega.ch) these two models, which I find to be strange. I wanted a definitive answer as to what movement those two models had.

May I please ask the good folks here to educate me on this?

    Thank you in advance.

If your talking about the late 60’s 145.022 Japanese racing dial it’s basically the same case. Production variations occur over 50 years.

If you sent one in to Omega for a new case it would use the current production 145.0022 case as a replacement which is the case for the 3570.

    They are both 42mm.
