    Hi all,

I got myself a 145.022 transitional a year ago, sold with a leather strap, but I wanted to get a steel bracelet. Love the 1171 for its plain, understated looks. Found an original one with trapezoid Omega logo on the clasp, but missing the original end links. Then got a pair of new 633 end links from an AD. The result does not look good as you can see from the pictures (excuse the poor image quality). The outer curve of the end links sticks out over the lugs.

Through research I discovered that there were at least two different lug shapes on early asymmetrical cases as well as two or three different types of 633 links (older ones being stamped, but mine are laser-etched and new). Is this a case of:

    a) new 633 links not fitting the case/lug shape (-> find old stamped 633 links?)
    b) something else gone wrong?

If it's a), would 808 or 805 end links make for a better fit with this watch? I would be grateful for any help or advice.

    Thanks in advance,
    Thomas

I think it's a case of the new (larger) end links not fitting your case well. It's possible that the fit could be improved by shaping/bending the end links, but I find the 516 end links preferable to the 633s (new or old).

I purchased a 1450/808 bracelet to put on a 145.022-69 and didn't like the end link fit.

Remove end links, file to fit properly, and install...

    Thanks for the replies, guys.

Archer, at first I was at a loss to see how filing could help -- I thought the case and links might be incompatible by design. However, I fiddled around a bit and the bad fit may indeed be down to the links being ever so slightly too wide. At the moment I'm using after-market links that fit perfectly, but will look into getting the 633s into shape.

Try the 677 endlinks if you can find them. i purchased a set a couple months back and they fit great. I found them for 28$ and they do not rattle like my 633 endlinks did.
