    Hi Guys!

I was looking around for a 145.022 with tropical dial and i found the watch that you can see in the photograph.
The seller reports being an 78 model but as far as i know, the 145.022 turn tropical only for the 69 model.

I noticed that the patina on the hands does not match the patina on the hour marks on the dial.

Am i wrong? Am i right? Is the deal of a lifetime? Is this a Frankenstein?

I'm quite new to the Speedy and i might say something stupid.

    Don't insult me :)

    The watch is a franken - dial likely from a 1969, hands from a 321, case and movement from a -78. It's not a deal at 10K US +

    This watch has a stepped dial so it's a '69 or '71............

I see you know more about the watch. The Chrono hand is from a 321 for sure but what about the case? How do you know about movement and case? Where is it for sale?

Those parts didn't all start together. You need a caseback and movement shot to determine if there's a single incorrect piece or a complete put together

I see a delrin brake and a lot of copper colour. If he sells you the dial for 2k or the watch for 4k, go for it.

Still can't read the serial. But I think we've all seen enough to know it's put together from various pieces. The watch has value as parts.

439xx is also beyond 39xx. Now you know all you need.

8 out of 10 exeptions from the rule are on C24. Always, most from a single seller in the Netherlands, closely followed by whole Italy.
