Hi, I am in the process to look for a speedmaster 145.022-71. I will need the experts to chime in about two concerns: Is the watch overpolished? Are the pushers services ones? Step dial and hands seems to be ok. Bezel has the large tachy letters dn90 serif 7 and it looks good. I will check the engraving and the serial later on when I meet the seller. What do you think? How much would you belive it is worth? Thanks
From the one photo posted it's impossible to tell how polished it is. If the lume is original then the dial looks attractive to me and the bezel looks good also. Certainly has the potential to be a nice example but there's just not enough to go on from one mediocre photo.
Speedmaster101.com can help formulate a range for you. The bezel is correct for that watch. Best of luck.
I am thinking to consider buying it. It was bought in London at All Vintage Watches. It has been serviced this year. Still unsure about the pushers and the polishing. The case look very good to be non-polished. Here comes several pictures to asses the value better.
Looks nice and original/period correct to me. It The edges and lugs seems to be polished, but if the price is fair, I wouldn't bother.
Everything looks good to me. Do you have a serial number on the movement? That would be the last missing piece of the puzzle.
I will check the year on the case back and the serial number if I decide to buy it. The asking price is 4800$. No box or paper. No bracelet. Just the watch head.
The service was not entirely successful. Look at the hours totaliser and search on here for creep. Cheers, Chris
Cosmetically, looks like a nice one. Have them service it and fix the chrono creep, then offer a bit below their asking price. 4800 will not seem so high in a year or two, but for now it's a bit too high
I rather get the one thats being sold here for around 1000 less. Just wait a bit here. Great watches pop up here from reputable collectors.
I will do so. The creeping dial at six indicates that something needs to be fixed and there is a change that more need to be done. I do appreciate the help from you all.
