This watch is returning to sale after Simon Freese has serviced it, and deep - cleaned everything. As you can see I have not polished it. I believe this is a very rare watch, as I have been looking for one for about six years. Then two came along at once....so I am selling because I now have two, and I would like only one. I have big financial commitments looming and some watches will have to go. I had been looking for one these for literally years, and then two came along at once and I found my self committed to both - oops. This one is the actual watch illustrated in Moonwatch Only, Page 306/7 As you can see it is now a bit cleaner... Beautiful dial and handset, original bezel, pushers and crown. Crystal too, I believe. Watch has just returned from service with Simon Freese Note the reference to fit bezel supplied, is re fitting original bezel - you can check by comparing the MWO photos. It is in really special original condition. Nothing was changed at service. Case shows only natural wear and to my knowledge has never been polished - it has only been movement and bracelet serviced in my possession. And cleaned, thoroughly cleaned. This watch remains in original condition, and as it was sold to me - by one of the MWO authors. And in fact the price is what I paid them, except I have now paid for a SFW service. Here is the inside of the case back - this was shot before the service, and I am loathe to open the back again after Simon has sealed it. So inside the back, with a service mark, where we see the 71 stamp And here is the movement, again pre service. If you really want to see the movement before you buy, and it is the last thing stopping you pull the trigger, I will open it for you. Correct 1171 trapeze logo bracelet: A lovely example. Is it better than the one I am keeping? Actually they are in almost identical condition, but this one came with its bracelet - and I tend not to use bracelets, So that is why I chose this one to sell. There was a typo, caused by Jet lag and me arguing with myself on the fair price. So its 7000 Sterling. (not 7500, I beat myself down)
I hope the buyer has a copy of Moonwatch Only. It would be a pity to have the watch but not the book it's featured in.
