I mistakenly posted this question in the wrong thread, my apologies! Reposting here. Wondering if this is legit? It seems to tick the boxes as best I can tell...

Thank you @harrymai86 . While average, the seller is asking $800 for it, which seems like a reasonably good deal. Thoughts?

The price is a warning so be very very careful!

Unless you know the seller very well (very very well!) and have seen the watch in person, do not do anything yet!

If this is an on-line offer you must conduct and extreme "due diligence" operation.

Start by doing reverse image searches. Ask the seller to provide a picture of the watch against today's newspaper. Check the seller's history etc. etc etc..

This may be a really good deal, or it may not, Good Luck with it.

What’s a newspaper?😀

A contiguous bundle of bleached cellulose fibres rolled into very thin flat sheets and subjected to an ink deposition process.

The deposition of ink depicts in the written word, the facts of the day, and usually innacurate or salacious descriptions of famous/infamous "celebrities". It also contains Obituaries and football results, not particularly in that order.

It's a bit like a hard copy of Bloomberg or Facebook, and its use in the 21st century is mainly limited to evidence in "proof of life" events.

Those old sayings are cute, but people get lucky every day. Late last year I bought a '72 speedmaster missing it's pushers but otherwise in great shape for $500.

Seem like it has a serial range of tropical dial as well. Anyway please proceed with caution. 99%of these deals are too good to be true but on a good day you are lucky.

It's almost certainly a scam with those professional photos (including movement with serial whited out) for $800. If you do a reverse image search, you'll probably find that the photos were scraped from some dealer listing.

Gotta agree in this case. Yea seems from the pics that the seller knows what he has, or is pretending to have.

Symmetrical, or asymmetrical? 😉

What did the man say when the bridge fell on him? The suspension is killing me.
