From this day forth it will be called the Re-entry dial ( Burnt during the extreme heat of re-entry )
And the bezel has suffered a bit of scorching too. Hopefully it wasn't on someone's arm when that happened.
It never ceases to amaze me that as much as professials like Al and others stress the importance of the the correct tools and training for working on watches, people persist on cutting corners I this case a simple $32. tool could have prevented this carnage (word of the week)
Wow. Look at the state of the case around the caseback gasket, as well as the incorrect bezel and knackered dial. That is one well worn watch. I'd actually quite like a shagged dial like that for a low price, but it's already at $5k!
It adds an interesting texture to the dial, not sure if I like it though. Or maybe it is the method to achieve this that I don't like.
