hi there. I am new to that forum and willing to learn from you guys. I am buying and selling watches since 13 years now. In total I never lost money but to be honest I sold a lot of watches that increased their values dramatically. Eg the Snoopy, the 11th, the 45th. Some weeks ago I sold my 69er 145.022 with beautiful patina and step dial. Overall in good condition. I needed the money for the brandnew Seamaster 300 Master non-Bond. That one I sold within a week.... So back to Speedies. I own a 2004 standard Moonwatch. I basically store that for my son who was born that year. So now I need a buddy watch, so I can match up with my son.... I will own (wednesday, unless they take only my money ;-)) an Apollo XI from mid 90s that seems to have a nice Tritium vanilla patina and a glas bottom with 863 movement. Will that make me happy and stop hunting? NO, NO, NO! So I am really interested in buying a real Vintage: a 145.012 from 67 with DO90, nice patina and serviced by an expert. Could you please take a look at the pics and give me a GO, GO, GO? Thanks so much!
Hey Joerg, I looked at the same watch in Maastricht. I'll leave the commenting on the piece for the experts, but I liked the matte dial. Only the tip of the chrono hand is bent.
"So I am really interested in buying a real Vintage: a 145.012 from 67 with DO90, nice patina and serviced by an expert" The op watch is real, yes. The patina does not attract me. But that is personal taste. This watch is not serviced by an expert, nor is the movement in good shape. The screws are marked and the some parts corroded. It has a value, perhaps what you offered. It just is not what you said you wanted! I know it's hard but keep looking!
Thanks guys, thats why I am here. I will keep looking. Next March I will be in NY. Any suggestions where to go or with whom I should meet up? Thx
Send a PM to forum Member @Kringkily. He is in NYC and can probably find, or already has, anything your heart desires. He sure has made my retirement account quite a bit lighter.
Thank you. Here is my Apollo XI that I received today. For me like an inbetween reference until I find my grail.
