Hi guys, any help appreciated as i'm looking at this 145012-67 2500****, seller says fully working but no history etc. I am new to Speedys but apart from a mucky seconds hand it kinda looks ok to me. Thanks in advance.

Just be aware that it looks like the lume has smudged around a lot of the markers.

Hi guys and thanks, from Speedmaster101 the reference guide says 145.012-67 2406 xxxx – 27xx xxxx, this is 250030** so it's in line. I attached another case pic but agree it's had to tell.

I guess this is one of the main searches, finding a 50yr old case that's not had the hell polished out of it! once again thanks for your input, it helps alot.

Hi David, I also noticed that but assumed/hoped it may just be a crappy picture, I'm trying to arrange to view it in person.

Looks like it's got all its original pieces, dial, hands, crown and pushers but condition of lume definitely a bit questionable. I wonder if the chrono spear, minute and hour hands have been relumed too. Rusty sub dial hands combined with the smeared lume could point to some humidity or worse but the movement looks in good nick. Case looks to have had a light polish but certainly not a bad one.

Having said all that it's still hard to find a 100% original piece like this. Depends on price as always. I still like it.

The rusty hands did concern me but agree the movement looks very clean. I'm also viewing this...the dial I prefer but the bezel i DONT! the price isn't too dissimilar either. If i could buy the first one with the second bezel i'd be alot happier, i also think the case looks sharper on the second one. grrr! Thanks

Just buy both and swap the bezels!

Tough to find the 'perfect' watch, isn't it?

Definitely no such thing as the perfect watch when it comes to 50 year old watches. If you like and can live with some wear and tear and your happy with the price then go for it. But if you have to many doubts it may bug you for ever. Just depends what your after I guess. If you want collectors quality then neither fit the bill.

    Here's my 145.012 - 67 with a few "imperfections" but I love it.
