Only about 600 serials away from my 145.012-68. Looks good. Based on my extract, that would have been produced circa Oct 1968.

Top money for what appears to be a top watch. Quality brings out the collectors with the cash.

… but not the auctioneers who know what they have  - estimate of £800-1000...

To be fair to them, they did a pretty good job of photographing the watch and also a first I've seen on the saleroom, a video of someone waving their wrist around with the watch held on it... :D

Undervalued Reference, and when you have the chance to get one in extraordinary condition..well, it's a 321 Moonwatch.
I know at most 4 here on OF that either equal or top the condition of this one..but not more. And considering the fate of this reference as donor watch, there aren't many left like this. A top condition watch. Did someone say bubble?

Very biased as an owner but glad to see these top examples get recognition. The character of the dial and lume on these is very nice and they're a pleasure to look at.

Especially the black, blueish glossy dials found only in 145.012s..just to mention that explicitly.

They did a better job than most auction houses, of recording the item …but that’s not saying much !

The focus is still very shallow, in terms of depth of field……and the overall files too small for precise examination

They also did not bother to ‘sharpen’ the image files……as every single digital image should be

^^ Yes, I meant they did a pretty good job, compared to the shocking one or two pics that many auction houses issue...

I do agree that these dials feel very special. The dial on my 012-68 is probably the most beautiful I own
