Hi everyone

First of all sorry for the crappy photo quality but that’s all I can currently get from the owner of the watch.

I came across this Connie on a local online marketplace.
From what I recon it is a 14381 gold cap Pie Pan on lyre lugs with Cal. 551.
Dial seems to be correct (though dirty/patinated a little), nice two tone with cross hair, although text is hard to judge from the photos.
Crown seems to also be a correct decagonal one.

One thing that certainly is not original is the hand set, being too long, perhaps coming from a non-Pie Pan Connie.

So to the point, Do you think is it worth pursuing? (It is listed for 1000$)

How hard can it be to get proper hands for this one?

Thanks and regards

TBH I think I'd pass on this one at €400 or more. It's ugly with the shabby dial and as you note correct hands will also need to be sourced. Not worth the hassle IMHO

The short answer is no. It is not worth pursuing at 1K. For that money you can get one with the right hands and even a nice dial.
