I would see it as a gamble to bid on this based on the pictures provided::confused2::

The gall of some sellers: 2 crappy pics for such a valuable item.

The original ad seems to have been remowed.

If it is a black dialed 13ZN chrono, it is up again, 5 crappy pictures and 0 bids for the moment.

    Looks original from here:D

Must be the worst pictures in eBay history.....

Edit: But you can still see its probably a mid 1940`s ref 5415 from the 22826 batch.

If that black radium dial is original, it`s pretty darn rare.

It's gone again. Or , at least, that seller isn't listing it.

He started the bidding at $1200, so he new it was worth something.

    Awesome.
I suppose the offer was subject to physical inspection

I don’t get it why sellers keep selling outside eBay, if they get offers that high. The fees are capped, in Germany at 250€ and in the states I think at 750$. What’s that compared to 33k?! I‘d let it run, you never know where it would end, and offers of that magnitude should assure you that it will probably not stop at 10k.

    Thank you very much;)

But it can also be a ref 4813.... We can't be sure until it surfaces again with
    better pictures:thumbsup:

Well, I hope that for 33k$ the buyer could get some better pics or even handle the watch in person.

By the way, since the seller probably knew that the watch was worth much more than his starting price, do you think that it was a strategy to put crappy pics to get some interest/decend offers and to sell it outside of eBay?

Edit: look at his other offerings. All the pictures are much nicer than the ones for the 13ZN chrono... ::screwloose::

They posted new clear pics of the watch and then pulled the auction.
It was a 4813 with black radium dial and radium hands (missing all radium).
Hard to know if dial was original from pics but looked good.
Alternatively, it could have been stripped of radium and had the dial refinished in the process.

4813 with original radium dial would be extremely rare. They are around 1947 and were delivered to sweden (Teraasse), there is one in Goldenbergers new book on page 398. Would have loved to see the one that was sold here... original dials have usually some spotting from the radium...

The style of the back, bezel, pushers, and crown looked more like a 5415 to me. What indicated to you that it is a 4813? Below are images of the watch from eBay, a 5415 from @minutenrohr, and a 4813 from www.carsandwatches.com.
