Hello,
I was wondering how common or uncommon were Seamaster dials with the 12 only Arabic marker. Does it coincide with a particular historical period or have any particular significance?

1954 KO 2767 / G250:

And here's one with a black dial (not mine):

It's very common, I would say. No particular association, as far as I know.

Great to know! Thank you. I thought it might have been in response to Rolex 3 / 6 / 9 dials like on the Explorer, but I guess it's far-fetched.

Since Omega (and other brands) did this way earlier than the first Explorers were produced, I guess it really is pretty far-fetched 馃榾

There were so many dial variants for these 50s Seamasters - some common, some not. Either way, the dial variation (aside from black and textured dials) doesn鈥檛 change the collectibility much in my opinion.

It makes sense. It probably comes down to a matter of personal preference.
