    Hi all

I am considering purchasing the below bracelet for an incoming vintage speedy, but having never held one of the in hand I would love a thumbs up or down by the profs.

I know it’s not time correct for a vintage but it will have to make due for now.

To me the bracelet looks quite good with little stretch and marks. At first glance I was worried that the markings on the back of the clasp were printed, but now I don’t thinks so. Does it look good to you?

Also the end links don’t have the gap, which might mean they are of the older kind. What do you think?

    Much appreciated!
    /Jeppe

Anybody know the difference, (with regard to date) between the square logo 1171/633 and the trapezoid logo 1171/633? Mstanga's chart indicates that the 1171/1 is a later model. Do all the 1171-1/633 bracelets have a square logo? IMG_20190712_124724-1.jpg IMG_20190712_124751-1-1.jpg

    Thanks for the thumbs up.

We have agreed on €200 which seems like a good price.

Am I correct in thinking the endlinks might be the earlier kind? Or are there newer without the gap?

Can't tell the age of the connected links without pics of the side, but clasp is definitely a newer version 1171/1 as noted from others.
End links look to be vintage 633, no the old service replacement versions or the newer hollowed-out 633's.

Def a good deal at 200 Euros.

The bracelet looks good and the price is very acceptable.

As mentioned by others, the end links (stamped rather than etched and without additional cutout) are older than the strap, but they fit.

The exact condition regarding the brushed surfaces and the stretch can only be said when you hold it in your hands. But the photos are pretty promising.

Basically, the 1171 is a very versatile bracelet and I would say it is timeless. But you have to know that it is simple and quite light compared to modern stainless steel bracelets with solid end links. But that is exactly what makes its quality.

(What I've noticed: One of the spring bars seems to be installed crookedly in the clasp cover, probably placed in different holes.)

After I made the deal with the seller he received a number of significantly better offers and he then did some research on what these usually go for. He called me and said that he would honour our deal but would ask me if I could up the price a little to make it a fair deal for both.

Price ended at €270 which to me is still a good price. Will pick it up late next week as I’m currently away. Will post pictures of the end links so we can see what version they are.

Grateful for the help and feedback from you all! Being fairly new at this it helps tremendously with some expert help.

Isn’t it supposed to be a trapezood-shaped Omega logo on the clasp for it to be an earlier iteration?

    Yes as noted earlier it’s a 1171/1 and not a 1171. So yes a later 1171 variation.

    +1 really good deal
The links are with fitted bars, no screws I believe. Right?

Looks like vintage 633 endlinks with a fully modern 1171/1 to me. The engraving on the inside of the clasp is laser rather than stamped. But if I recall vintage 633 endlinks can go for over $200 for just a set of those, without the bracelet.

    Top set is modern.
Bottom set is the later "vintage" 633's from around the 80's. These came with the square Omega symbol 1171 bracelets. Not 100% "correct" for the trapezoid Omega 1171 bracelets but some may have been added on later during service

See this post for WAY more information and expertise on these bracelets and links.

So managed to pick up the bracelet today. I must say it’s in lovely condition with very little stretch and almost no marks and scratches. Very happy.

The end links looks to me like the early vintage ones - the ones without crease or gaps. Attaching some photos.

When I examined the bracelet I was a bit surprised to see that the bars looks like they have screws instead of pins. See photos. My first guess would be that the bracelet is a 1171 and only the clasp is a later 1171/1. What do you guys make of this?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
