I bought a NOS 1162/173 from chrono24 it looks off to me. No 173 stamped endlinks and the pin and sleeve links dont look correct. Anyone have a 1162/173 bracelet to compare to?
Looks good to me too. Someone seems to have tightened the sleeve links so it has actually gone through some maintenance - a good thing there.
https://www.chrono24.com/omega/part...ainless-steel-bracelet-1162173--id8511882.htm This is the advert. Should I dispute and return or keep it as it was a decent price? Omega wants 450$ for one straight from Switzerland.
Up to you, but since you're fine with the price, I wouldn't mind keeping it for wearing, as I'd get it scratched in no time with just desk diving.
Should I NOT be fine with the price? Did I get ripped? He had it listed for 350 i sent an offer for 300$ Shipped.
The clasp (at least) has been buffed on a relatively coarse satin wheel. If you have access to a buffer and a fine or extra fine satin wheel, that's easily remedied. As @TNTwatch said, it's not NOS, but it's a nice-looking bracelet at a good price.
I'm not familiar with recent price for this particular bracelet so can't say what you should do. You can look up recent sold listings to determine the price range yourself, but several members here think your price is good so no worry there. You could've also asked before buying as well.
I have bought some bracelets directly from Omega and got one o Ebay that looks just like yours. When I put it on the watch it felt different. I put them together and they look pretty much the same but something is off with the one I got from Ebay.
I've yet to put it on my watch as it's at the watchmakers being refinished and having a new crystal installed. Edit: I'll post pictures when I have it
I had a vintage BOR and a modern one from Omega, same clasp number etc and same experience. Looked identical but felt different- may have been the grade of stainless or construction methods...could have just been the changes we all seem to gain with age.
