the question is in the thread object...Is it possible that my 105.012-66, produced in September 1967, came from the factory with a 1039/516 bracelet instead of the 1506/16?
Triying to find the latter without any luck, was thinking about giving it up and sourcing the first one, which is easier to find...

What do you think?

As far as I know, I think a 1039/516 combo is fine (period correct) for your 105.012-66.

Thanks a lot, on the famous table I see that only the 1506/16 combo is correct for mine, but I haven't find a good one yet, so I was thinking of settling for the 1039...thing is, I'm afraid I would end up perceiving the bracelet as wrong when I'm wearing it, I know it sounds stupid, but in the end if I have to spend that kind of money in a bracelet, I'd like it to be the absolutely right one Period correct is fine, but I'd want it to be watch correct as well

I think it is absolutely correct. I have a 29.6m 145.022-69 that originally came on a 1039/516

 

A late 67' 105.012 is very likely fitted with a 1039.

 

Alternatively, buy an 1175 for now and keep hunting. 1506/16 is indeed very hard to find.

1175 is much cheaper, but gives you the flat link style. A good stand in.
