105.012-66 Advice on ‘replica’ bracelet?

Hi everyone - hope everyone had a great Christmas.

I started looking at getting a period bracelet for my speedy… but then saw the price, with even ratty ones commanding stupid figures. So is started doing some research and wound up finding the Forstner and Uncle replicas.

Does anyone have any experience with these on a vintage speedy? I’ve looked on the respective websites and they have some compatibility lists, but nothing specific for older watches. I know it’s a 20mm lug spacing, and I should look at a flat link for the right look - but which one?

Any advice would be appreciated 😀

Have you tried a forum search, there have been a number of threads on the topic, so you could get your answers right away. They should both fit, but I will say that the Forstner clasps have a more solid, quality feel, IMO.

I've had a couple Uncle Seikos, which sometimes have a clasp upgrade option if that's a concern. Either way, I've been happy with them.

I have an Uncle Seiko with the clasp upgrade on my Flightmaster I can't fault the quality, I know this doesn't answer your question on compatibility with your watch specifically, but I hope it helps with any quality concerns.
