Serviced and with an extract showing delivered to Switzerland, 9th March 1967
    Serviced by SwissTec April 2016
Acquired by me in February 2013

When serviced I replaced the hands that were on the watch with original vintage hands. (It arrived with superluminova).

    Notes on this particular watch:
Obviously this watch is priced cheaper than anything I have seen asked for a 105.012, and is about the cheapest way to acquire this reference without getting an absolute basket case. This watch (for me) strikes a great compromise between quality, price, attractiveness and value. It was fully serviced by SwissTec in 2016 and since then I have not worn it. As this watch is out of the Swisstec guarantee, if it needs any attention I will cover any work required, but you have to send it to Simon Freese in UK. (In the first six months after you buy it).

It is not waterproof. (it could be if you changed the service parts.)

The plots show signs of attention - I did not do it - so I do not know exactly what has been done. Here is a shot of the watch de-cased, and here you can see everything, including the rather attractive body colour. My own guess is that the plots have been touched up with old luminous materiel harvested from scrap vintage dials, mixed into a paste and applied.

Dial track is degraded between 11 and 12

Note the closeups of the plots: (these are the worst)

Pushers are service, fitted before my ownership. The crown and stem are the @michael e version. (this looks like the unobtainable original, but is a new Omega crown for another reference, adapted by Michael).

    Why am I selling?
I am refocusing my collection, and removing some capital in it to pay for the wifes new house - its on going and crippling. I am unable to say we cannot have that sofa while I still have more watches than I can wear.

    Who am I?
I am a enthusiastic private collector, holding a large number of watches. I sell only when I need to finance something else. I do not acquire watches to profit, but to collect. Of course I welcome an uplift when I sell, but it is not my motive. I have many references here on this forum, and I wrote the site www.speedmaster101.com. My reputation is important to me.

    Terms
Payment by Bank Wire, in UK pounds sterling to my company account in Hong Kong, or Crypto currency. (HSBC compelled me to acquire my special objects through a company account, as the amounts were varying, unpredictable, and they would not let me do it through my private account. So thats why you have to send it to my company). If you are uncomfortable with this, then I will wait until you are. Or cash in UK.

    Returns
While they are not welcomed, I will take it back if you are seriously miserable and very, very nice about it. Obviously you have to pay the shipping, and get it back to me in the same condition as I sent it.

    Delivery
Face to face is welcome, in UK, GU8 area or London. UK delivery is by registered Mail, insured to £2500.

Now fitted on a new handmade strap

Why is this still here? A very attractive 105.012-65, recently serviced, at a bargain price from probably THE most reputable seller? ::confused2::

That's no surprise and thank you to that buyer for saving me from temptation.
Edit: I wonder what the record time is on here from ad to final sale?

I have just one bone to pick, and while it's semantics, I'll bet most collectors agree. Your listing says:

Unless you found the EXACT set of hands that were originally on this watch, "Period correct" and/or "authentic" should have been used instead of "original". ;) Unless you kept the original parts after replacing them, originality is gone forever once the parts that the watch came from the factory are removed.

Zero seconds. There's a LOT of private transactions that never see the sales forum. However, we've seen plenty of listings go from FS to SOLD in less than an hour. It just goes back to my gripe thread about pricing your watch correctly:

    https://omegaforums.net/threads/a-quick-how-to-for-members-who-are-selling-watches.77638/

This watch was priced to move, and move it did! Trusted seller, nice example with good pictures, and an asking amount that made it easy to sell.

I'm a complete novice at this game, and yet I didn't misunderstand the post description at all. The sales post did not state that they were THE ORIGINAL HANDS that were on the watch when it was new.

Using a term like "period correct" may be confusing because it could refer to a set of hands such as STS fitted to my watch last year.
The "period correct" hands I had fitted were:
    A) New
    B) Correct style for the reference.
    C) Aged to match the dial and lume.
They were "period correct", rather than "original 1960's tritium" hands like the ones that were fitted to the watch offered for sale in this sales post.

Seemed obvious to me what he was referring to, and I know very little about vintage watches!::confused2::

I once sold a bracelet here in two minutes... Must had taken me more than half an hour to put the damn post together in the first place
