the sale has been off and on all week anyway today we agreed the price

260 mile round trip and just back home

24 mil serial ilovemyspeedmaster dates it to nov 1966

Only just noticed the dial has a slight brown tint

Just added a DON and 1039 from my 69 which is still away

Story is belonged to the sellers grandfather who was a partner in a watch repair shop. The watch was dropped off in the early 70's for a service and never picked up.

Handed to the seller in the mid 90's who had it serviced wore it a few times then put it in a drawer until recently decided to sell it

not sure what happened to the original bezel he just remembers it never had one

Enjoy your true Moonwatch! This was the reference on the wrists of Armstrong and Aldrin, amongst others.
