As noted, that price would have been low in the 90s for a watch like this one. We all hope to find a deal that makes no sense, but how many people have watches like this and no clue what they are worth? How do you go about selling an item without taking 5 mins to check prices on ebay or any other source?

The seller was clueless, maybe he thinks an old speedmaster isnt worth too much and too lazy to open to caseback for ref check, when I heard it is manual winding and he has no tool to open caseback for movement shot, I think I score an Ed White for 1300usd.
I am trying to sort original crown, box, or bracelet but current price for even a 1035/506 is reaching 2k or more, I think I will stay with a leather strap for now 馃榾

So you found a $15,000 or so watch for $1300 and you are worried about a 2k bracelet that might even take the value of the package up more than 2k ... or worst case scenario barely cut into the MASSIVE margin you get to enjoy on this?

I know you aren't planning on selling the watch, but it seems a bit of a non issue here. I could buy it if you just don't like a bracelet as a look (I don't either so much) but using the money argument doesn't hold too much water. But congrats on the find none the less!

Beautiful watch. Just because it's running, doesn't mean it's properly lubricated. If you don't know service history, might want to consider it.

Looks like it needs a service for sure as the minute sub dial hand is advanced with the chrono being at the 12:00 position.
