    Good morning OF members

I was offered this 105.003 that at some point was serviced by omega and except case and movement was all replaced by service parts

Back case was overpolished due to some engraved letters

It's worth the 5k€ that they ask?

The bracelet it's as well incorrect but worth some money... it's a 1171 / 633

The extracts are also in the package

What you thing? Possibilities to get an original dial? The bezel we already know... you pay and you get it... the dial looks difficult to get... couldn't find any anywhere...

Thank you in advance to all

    Regards

    Bruno

What a shame! The last decent 105003 dial i saw hit almost £4k, and decent bezel £2-3k and counting.

    is it worth the trouble?

Cheaper I think to buy a correct one from the start

I would also be inclined to save my money. Instead contribute that towards another Ed White that is more of an original piece.

It will be a pain to get hold of the parts, so if you're buying to flip it and make a buck I think it's a bad idea. If you're buying to keep it you can always switch the dial up and then look for a bezel that fits your taste. Personnally, I understand the DON craze, but it adds nothing to a piece from the visual standpoint (lets face it, DNN and DON look the same). So, if you get it cheap, you can also get a 105003 dial and wear it as is / source a nice ghost DNN maybe ?
It sure as hell looks like a pain though. On top of thatn I have no idea why Omega would service it with a dial like that one...

I noticed this piece too, but haven't seen a 105.003 dial for sale in quite some time, so I think it will be a very long term project

Case, in that state, maybe $1500. Movement, assuming legit and not frankened, maybe $2000.

A few hundred for the rest of the parts.

Doesn't get to $5K missing the two most important parts (dial and bezel) IMHO.

Were short-index luminova Professional dials produced with the correct feet to fit to a 321? @Archer

I'd be concerned that this was another tape or glue job, too. Though if it was serviced by Omega themselves as has been suggested, probably not...

Yes, with the painted logo as shown. Dial number is 064PP2001001. The dials with applied markers tend to have the longer indices from what I can see on the Extranet.

Let me give a differing opinion on this - completely refurbished yes. Probably not worth it to someone looking for a correct vintage Ed White - but EUR5K is within spitting distance of a FOIS.

It's a big project but I talked to the seller, 4.5 k was his best price, if you can source the parts, it's an interesting project

Give me a break. There's no way that's worth €5k.

What do you have really? A serviced 321 movement (hopefully from a Speedmaster, although without an extract how do you know for sure?) worth €1200-2000 and a case thats been polished so around €1500.

You have no bezel which is expensive and no dial which is expensive and rare. Then you have the hassle of sourcing these expensive parts in a bull market to complete a franken watch with parts that probably won't be a great match and therefore won't keep up with the market.

With a back wind, a bit of luck, and plenty of effort you might break even, just, if you parted it out. But why bother?

Personally for me, it has lost all of it's charm.

And for me it's not worth it to go past that point. Sourcing everything else would not get me ahead enough to make up for the lack of appeal

    But obviously up to you
