Omega Speedmaster 105.003-64 with tropical / degraded dial. On a hand made leather strap with an Omega marked buckle that I cannot say is original. Provenance/Service History Bought by me in 2012. It came with an incorrect 145.012 dial and a personally engraved case back and incorrect pushers hands and glass. Swiss Time Services serviced it 15/06/2012 on invoice 309128 at a cost (Then!) of £444. The document will be supplied. The pushers, glass and hands were replaced. The hands were aged. I supplied a new/old case back, and a replacement dial with correct markings with this interesting patina. Condition Serviced, and with correct parts. The dial is stable and in my opinion very attractive. I realize some will find it degraded. It is a correct, close spaced T marked dial, Non Professional. It is not the dial that originally came with the watch. (That got swapped out long before my ownership). Certainly when I wear this watch it attracts far more attention than others. So not for those who wish to have an ordinary ed white. The equipment is all correct spec. Even has the DO90 bezel, which matches the dial. - possibly better. The case was lightly refinished - this basically means putting back the brushed finish after a deep clean with Ultrasonic - it is not a "Re-Polish" and very little metal was removed. The case back does show signs of polish and has lost some of its definition. But better in my opinion than the engraved on which was awful. The case is very good with plenty of metal: Movement is also in very good condition and serviced: All the movement parts are matching colour and I think it is all original. I like this movement. Column wheel: Screws are good, everything looks in very good condition: Dust cover is original and fits: Price is £9800 SALES TERMS I only sell to refocus my collection, but my current motivation is my wife is making me build her a house. I am not motivated by profit alone and so I have no reason to embellish or over describe. I have been on ebay since 2002 with 100% feedback. I have bought and sold a few watches on www.OmegaForums.net and you can find my feedback by searching my username. I am the author of www.Speedmaster101.com and so you can understand protecting my reputation is first. Price includes insured delivery in the UK or USA, and will include delivery elsewhere unless you have some expensive needs. Returns are welcome if you don’t cost me anything to get it back to me and the watch is in the same condition as it arrived with you. I am a private collector who rarely sells. When I do, most of the time my watches sell very quickly, and to the first person that PM’s me with the words, “I will buy this watch now at your price”. I believe in full disclosure. In the past several people have been upset because although they are the first to reply, they ask if I can do a better price – meanwhile someone has agreed my price. I am not in the slightest bit offended by offers, but remember that they will only make sense if the watch remains unsold after a few days. Delivery can usually be facilitated almost anywhere Payment Payment by Bank Transfer is preferred for these larger amounts to my HSBC bank in Hong Kong in Pounds or US dollars or Hong Kong Dollars. (Not Euros sorry). I propose we both exchange ID copies and speak by phone to feel comfortable. Face to face is always welcome. (UK for next week then Chicago).
Love it! If I didn't have my own architect and builders to pay this summer I'd be sending a pm. GLWS!
Beautiful piece and good luck with the sale. This can only mean one thing, you heard the fatal phrase from your contractor. "Let me show you what we found when we took down this wall."
Gentlemen thank you for all the kind words on my "chocolate fudge" dial. That's a new description and I like it. Anyway the watch sold overnight, and confusingly the wife goes, "why did you sell that one?" I said you know that Oak beam we have to unexpectedly replace in the roof.... It's a great watch and I am very happy it's going to a fellow OF.
