This one was on Ebay yesterday. I did a lucky shot but didn't win. I didn't wanted to go high due to the very bad pictures. Although I know sometimes these are the best deals. It went away for 8300€. Did the winner got a nice watch for the value?
Yes, no sharp pictures so it seems an amateur selling a family watch. But then smart enough to take a picture of the serial number... That's what flagged me a little
Really hard to tell from those images. There could be obvious cosmetic issues with the dial that are hidden in the weird misty quality of the photos. But from what I can see, the lume doesn't look the greatest, the hands aren't particularly attractive, and the crown is a generic unsigned replacement. 8300 euro is far more than I'd have paid for it. For reference, I picked up this one around a month ago for 10k US, also at auction on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Speedmaster-105-003-Ed-White-DON-Bezel-321-Extract-Archives-Vintage-039-69-/123782124742?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&nma=true&si=UG23%2FVNTJuEBeeZKgKWsBr6%2Fe0A%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=ncPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network (Shot on wrist with a replaced DON on an aftermarket bracelet)
Perhaps I am cynical…those photographs look contrived…deliberately enticing, but uninformative No one takes photographs that bad…unless they intend to
I used to think this as well, but there are other possibilities ..... Some just don’t know how, others don’t care. But, to review photos and think to oneself, yeah that’s good, I’ll post ‘em. Well, that’s another story altogether OP’s dial appears beneath the haze to have stripped Lume plots; has too much case work, etc. Simply can’t tell from the photos if it’s a money pit but that’s what it appears to be.
Naah. All you need to do it smear some Vaseline on the lens. That said, I believe these pictures to be innocent. You won't believe what watches I bought through even worst pictures...
