[IMG][IMG][IMG]In my family we have a 68st and a 69st speedmaster professionals. Each of those have 1171/1 service replacement bands. This 1039 stamped band was located in a watch box. Any idea which watch this band most likely came off? I do see a 4 / 71 stamp on the band, is that a date? Any and all information you guys can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    The 4/ 71 is 4th Quarter (Oct-Dec) 1971.
The 1039 was in use from about 66-71 and the 1171 overlapped a bit from about 70-85.
The 1039 could have been for either of your Speedys but had the sturdier 1171 swapped onto them at a service?

Thank you, the 1171/1 are laser engraved, more than likely from the 80's. I am going to compete an extraction of records on the 69st and see when it was delivered. Thanks for the information.

Your 1171 might be a Watchco if laser engraved and would then be of the later date. Aesthetically they look the part and wear well. I have an 1171 on my 67 Speedy to save my 1039 bracelet.

Great find. 1039 bracelets are a keeper. They are fragile but look great.

Nice find Brian! That 1039 looks to be in pretty good shape. The inner portions should be a brushed finish, and the outer portions polished, but they all end up looking like yours given years of normal use. I personally like to re-brush and re-polish the bracelet, as I don't think it loses any value to do so, unlike polishing the watch case.

I hope your dad enjoyed his Christmas gift. You missed out on our Grey Side of the Moon rollout yesterday but I"m sure you are having a good time back home with the family. Merry Christmas.

This 1039 is missing a few links, but is fairly clean overall. I will be bringing the 69st and that Seamaster back. We will need to meet up for lunch again.

Do you still have the original end links for your bracelet?
