There must be! like this Holy Grail dial that sold for $224 when you can buy in from Ofrei for $38? http://m.ebay.com/itm/131445058391Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
This was an exceptionally rough example as well - note that one side only had seven tapered links, and that there was an abrupt discontinuity in between sizes as it was tapering down. Additionally, the clasp did not have a date code on it at all - nothing indicating this was a "1967" bracelet as claimed in the auction title.
Its amazing some of the parts straight out of Omega's current catalog selling for big dollars just because people think they can't be obtained
Agree, same with these NEW 2998 replacement hands that went a couple of days ago.... http://www.ebay.ch/itm/351397617504?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2648Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network I still don't understand why the seller writes "New Old Stock" - well at least he wrote Luminova..
They call pretty much everything they sell NOS. There's usually nothing "old" about the stock - it's just new parts, but it allows them to make people think these are discontinued parts...they are making a killing on people's ignorance. Some think this is the market at work, and some think it's blatant misrepresentation. I tend to be in the latter group...
Lot of people who live in 3rd world countries do not have the luxury like our selfs to go to the Omega Boutiques or there local AD. not just 3rd world even here in the states.... for international buyers there currency might make a difference too.
Before I saw the eBay posting I thought the seller had put "NOS" in the title to attract searches (I search a lot for "XYZ NOS"). But he didn't. For a little perspective, there's a guy selling old Gillette razors who includes a single old blade with each sale, which allows him to post titles like "Vintage Gillette Fat Boy, NOS Blade." Now THAT'S keyword spamming.
