So this is the configuration I have... a 1035 made in 4th quarter of 71, with 6 Ends on a 1965 Speedmaster.

The best I can make of this is the 6 Ends are original (strong and not often in need ot replacement) and the bracelet was later to the watch perhaps as part of a service.

Anyone seen this combo before? Any thoughts on whether this is a problem? The bracelet itself is exceptional.

This has come up on another thread recently, however to answer your question; a 1035 bracelet with No 6 ends is entirely correct for a 105-003 65 Speedmaster. I know this because I have one with this set up and have had it from new.
All I would say is that although the bracelet is a correct style, 1971 is late for a 65 Speedy. According to MWO the 1035 was in production until the second quarter of 1972 while the 105.003-65 production finished in 1969. They concluded that a 1035 of this date is probably a service replacement.

We know that the .003-65 was produced into 1960, so I'd say a 4/71 bracelet, which is added at the point of sale could well be original to this watch. The last of the straight lugs were probably slow sellers once the Pro model, with the moon landing connection was in full flow.

Edit: apologies, should read "produced into 1969"

Thank you both for your thoughts. Very interesting insights. I have a request with Omega for an extract on the watch so will see what they say. I'll post when I hear back. Thank you again in the meantime

Look forward to seeing the production date of your watch!
