It is pretty cool to see the side-by-side difference 100 years makes. I wonder what a Rolex will look like 100 years from now.

Gotta start going backwards soon I'd imagine.
I think it has already. The cool Italian dealers are wearing small steel chronographs and gold Piaget/AP/PP time only pieces.

How interesting to see this direct comparison of two watches from same brand but totally different time. How about other brands? Any examples available, too?

In the 1920s and 1930s, the era of the wristwatch began. The real difference is that at that time the maisons experimented with all shapes and sizes, from Reverso to Eberhard pre Extrafort, from Tre Tacche to Longines Weems (and the market appreciated)
Today almost every brand builds the same watch (and the market requires it...)

That’s a pretty cool photo for a comparative look. Personally the vintage does it the most for me. I think it’s the coolest kid on the block.
