5% as confirmed by the royal exchange (London) staff today.

Looks like it will only effect current catalogue models... and gold watches might go up a bit more.

Increase would be for our friends across the pond. North America is staying put at current price points.

Yes, it's for the b4ll4nds who voted for Brexit. Well done everyone, this is what happens now, as well as why the new MacBooks are £500 more now too. What a great decision people

Not sure it's everywhere? My speedmaster is now £3520 instead of £3340 on Goldsmiths website but no change on David robinsons

Yes this is a Brexit consequence but I am sure the average working man in the street will shed a tear for the crowd who have to cough up more for their MacBooks and Swiss fripperies. Rather a blinkered take on a fairly wide ranging issue!

Should have a planet ocean before the rise! I got stung on my Rolex Sub end of last year when they went up in price. Got one on order which should be here in 4-6 weeks, hope there is no further rise!

How does this effect the used watch market? Like for like increase or do the pre owned rise more due to New being even more out of people's price range??? Not that I'd sell any of my watches but just curious

I am the 'average working man in the street'. This isn't the Rolex forum. I use a MacBook for work, self employed. It was £999 and I've used it for 6 years, I could do with a newer one, and now it's £1500. That's not helpful. Fact. I can't afford it now. Me blinkered?

I noticed Goldsmiths were the first ones to put the new PO up from £4400 to £4640.

Brexit. Someone fell down in the street and they all shouted thats what Brexit does for you. The fact that all watches in the UK have been cheaper than all European countries and we are now coming in to line with them , I suppose has nothing to do with with it. Its all that dreaded Brexit.

No, not quite, but nicely put. THAT is the reason all the companies have given for putting their prices up, that's the relevance here, and even one particular company who's product uses only English sourced materials, until they were called out about it.
