    Seller states “Probably NOS”
    Me thinks “Probably POS”

If his Ebay description was Government regulated, the Seller would be in handcuffs.

Ask any Omega or any vintage timepieces expert, a NOS Omega Ranchero is a SUPER RARE find.

This genuine Omega Ranchero jewel belonged to a relative of mine who has passed away. We have shown it to a few watch enthusiasts and to professional watchmakers here in California and all of them immediately admired its condition! "We have never seen another Ranchero in such an outstanding condition neither in person nor on the Internet", it is in a NOS condition or (very near that condition). My relative was a serious watch collector and he loved Omegas. Before his death he gave away or sold his entire collections except this watch, my guess he kept this Ranchero as a cherished personal jewel due to its outstanding condition. No blemishes or imperfections at all anywhere on the case, a watchmaker confirmed the watch has never been polished "Probably it is a New Old Stock watch". The watch is keeping very accurate time, it is more accurate than my relatively new Rolex! This Omega is ALL genuine Omega end-to-end including the buckle, the current band is probably a genuine Omega strap that replaced a previous strap because leather dried out due to its age (the watch is from the fifties of last century). The watch comes with its very beautiful vintage genuine Omega box ( inner and outer boxes pictured), the widow of my relative is confident that she has the papers of the watch too, she is asking for more time to "dig out", she is "99% sure the paper is somewhere in the house with the matching numbers of the 267 movement" (based on the movement number 166X.. the watch was made in 1958)
The value of this outstanding Ranchero jewel definitely will only increase with the passage of time and in no time!
As I mentioned it is keeping very accurate time, needs nothing READY TO WEAR, but frankly I would prefer not to wear this MUSEUM QUALITY Ranchero on a regular basis, I would rather cherish it and keep it pristine for the next generation to admire.

I like the addition of "We wish to say that only reasonable offers will be considered, we have been approached by more than 30 folks within hours after we have listed this item but we had to reject their offers politely. We are committed to provide excellent service, but at the same time we do not want to waste anybody's time."

There are only 38 watchers for the listing at the moment...30/38 offers is a great ratio :D

So who would be dumber... the guy who's selling it or the buyer that purchases it?

Hmmm, This is an interesting one, the reference number on the case back 2990 and the movement cal. 267 seem to correspond to a Ranchero,
I recall I had seen at the Tonneau watch store a gold plated used Ranchero indeed, that was the only time I saw something similar to this

I contacted this seller out of curiosity, he just made an outrageous claim, he said he has contacted Omega last week to get the archived records of the watch, but Omega is now offering to buy this Ranchero from him! does Omega really buy watches?

It’s true. Omega has kept one museum employee waiting, waiting, waiting 60 years for THIS special watch to return. Now the worker can finally retire to the mountains.

"..(the watch is from the fifties of last century)"

And there was me thinking it was one of those 1850's Rancheros ;)

Amazingly he has 100% feedback from 1400+ transactions. He has no idea what NOS really means. If it's used it isn't NEW, and that watch has been well used. And people are actually bidding on it.
