I am sure some of you guys are not only after Ω watches but also after "everything Omega" for your collections. Most of us have accumulated tons of brochures, giveaways, pins, stuff... Let's share ! My last incoming is a beautiful Seamaster shop sign from the sixties. It's about 8cm wide and looks perfect near MWO and other Ω stuff on my bookshelf. The seller said he had this sign in his atelier from the sixties till he retired.
Great find . Some of you who know me from IG @igloe have seen I love those things. Before I show more of my things here my 60/70s omega Sign/Lamp
I was given this the other day by a happy customer and friend. He knows I do a lot of Omegas and it hangs on my workshop wall . From the BHI Horological Journal which is the oldest continuously published journal in the world, as I understand it. Not the oldest watch journal, the oldest on any subject. Will try filling out the cut-out form and see if I get anything Cheers, Chris
Don't get @cicindela all worked up over his collection of hippocampi! https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-hippocampus-print.12928 https://omegaforums.net/threads/hippocampus-omega-seahorse-monster.49254/
Part of the charm of buying an Omega Speedmaster (between 1994 and 1998) was getting some free books and Omega goodies at Your AD... Especially the Moonwatch book was an interesting surprise (available in both soft- & hardcover, English, French or German language). With all the facts Omega accumulated via collectors, fans, this forum and authors of several books and articles, it would be interesting to know if they plan any publications which will come with the 2019 chronographs ? After all we only celebrate 50 years Apollo 11 once... in a lifetime ! .
I have this cool Omega pen knife, which I won in one of @Darlinboy’s awesome photo contest a while ago. It’s an adapted version of the classic Victorinox ‘secretary’ (small blade replaced with case opener) and has the cool, vintage alox sides instead of the plastic that they use nowadays. Love it!
