I picked this watch up at an estate sale back in January and it wears a little too small for me so it's time to find it a new home. The watch runs well but no service history is known. Here's a little bit about the watch -

    • Case measures 34mm/1.35" wide case (not including the signed crown) x 40.6mm/1.6" long
    • Case measures 10.7mm thick
    • The caseback has a set of scratches

    • Dial is in very good condition with very small debris seen under a loupe - some of the pictures shown are crystal scratches and not dial scratches
    • Omega crystal has a few scratches
    • Signed crystal

    • 24 Jewels Cal 551 signed movement
    • Watch runs well
    • No history of last service
    • Serial number dates the watch to approximately 1967
I'm asking $1,000 shipped within the CONUS by US Priority Mail. I'm open to shipping to members outside the US so please message me to discuss.

I have the watch listed here for more pics and info. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360963914266&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

    Thanks!
    Scott

I sent pics to Al for his review and he thought it looked like "either dried oil or maybe even the black goop that the old O-rings turn into over the years". He didn't think it was corrosion and thinks it will come off during a service.

I'm taking the watch to my watchmaker this morning to get an idea of how quickly he could have the watch serviced.

Nice sharp case. Dial condition is pretty good. Price is very reasonable.
