Constellation today a 'must', as the Geminid meteor shower is peaking as we speak!

I do wish there was an observatory nearby to avoid the light pollution...maybe I would have seen twice as many last night (~12/25min), and more vivid against a black sky....

Thanks! That was my reaction, too, when I first saw one just like it being sold here. That was the day I was first hooked on vintage watches, merely 2 months ago! I was fortunate to find one on eBay (risky, but I had beginners luck) a week later...

Back home and finally on the wrist: Bulova Marine Star Chronograph. Cairelli type case with Valjoux 7731 movement. 43mm of pure wrist joy!
Original sticker still on the back and running sweetly.

Case almost, movement no.
Some info here, and I do believe @LouS may have written up earlier on these.
Would love to own a Zenith Cairelli of course, but the prices on these are on a level where lottery tickets or bank robberies seems to be the only alternatives for financing.
