Hi Reiner. Your watch is an Orator. In English, an orator is a speech giver. Just a joke - and not a good one at that.
Beautiful...will be back on my wrist in a few hours...But what strap..? If anyone asks about the dial, it's not dirt, it's charcoal, OK!?
My twenty-six year old beater, great watch for special travel situations when a beater is the only option.
1928 Meadowbrook. Every time I put this on (and I've owned it for about 8 years) I consider it my favorite watch. But I don't wear it often enough...By the way, this black enamel painted dial is pretty scarce. I've only seen about 1 of these for every 10-20 of the luminous variant.
This charcoal dial is to be seen, not photogenic at all. Almost impossible to take picture of it. Must be seen to see how beauty it is.(Yes I have seen one but the owner refuse to sell it ) .......and yes Alex, that means DIBS.......
So true. This is probably up there with my favourites. It's also not an easy watch to find with such an individual patina!
Excuse the Scotsman casting his coat, takes a while to get used to sunlight. This piece was left at home whilst on my travels and it had to be first on the wrist today - back to "Auld Claes and Porridge"
This arrived at my office this morning, all the way from the land of the Waltz and the strudel. The second hand needs a little attention, but the case is almost mint.
