It's a base ETA with a chronograph module on top - see how the pushers are on a different plane than the crown? I don't know what that seller is thinking asking that much for that watch. It's about $6400 too much.

That's what I thought...this is the movement with the piggybacked chrono. I thought this was a $1500 watch at best.

I recently saw a nice early fifties Cal.283 in a stainless case for "only" $19,000...... I don't know whats sadder, the fact that they'll try it or the likelihood that they might succeed and some poor soul will be proud owner of a $800 watch for way too much.

So the one I saw at 19000 was a proper bargain then.

And what is that overdone modern looking bit of engraving on the repolished back.... a bit of false history being added on perhaps? Maybe that's what makes it worth so very, very much! Even though it looks nothing like the Swedish airforce markings that I've seen from that era.

Hey! I've got a nice military looking 30T2 PC SC from 1944, its even got a red second hand..... maybe I'll engrave some interesting markings on the back, sell it and buy a Lexus.

Lets see...... To Adolf, love Eva...... or maybe To Elvis........

I always love when they use the "wet toilet paper" filter for effect when photographing a watch....

    For that "something special" touch.
