    US cases usually do not have the hallmark on the lugs, but would say 14K of 18K gold or gold filled between the lugs themselves. The seller may not notice it, but the appraiser in this listing would probably have had a careful look inside as well as around the case in order to put up that amount.

    Yes it is. Even if it was a nice original dial the price is still too steep.
