It was our 16th wedding anniversary on Friday - so we went out to a good restaurant where the 7 course menu was as follows. It came with a 'flight of wines' - a different glass for each course. I drank all mine, plus some of Mrs mothra's as she didn't want to look like she wasn't trying. I had a fairly significant hangover the next day.

    CELERIAC VELOUTE

South Indian dosa does it for me. Nothing fancy, but delicious.

Also, +1 on the dark chocolate.

Been finishing early at work lately and have been able to put the boat in for a fish and the crab pots in...

Running out of Crab and Barramundi dishes to serve up, might have to buy a steak soon.....

This turned out to be excellent with dinner. The tannins weren't astringent at all and the dark fruit made it a very good bottle. The spice toned down and went well with meat. Gonna buy a couple more bottles of it for sure.

There was more fruit and less alcohol 'burn' last night, so I'm looking forward to tonight's glass. Ahhhhh, it's GOOD to be off Mondays!

Primarily Islay as I love the smoke and peat! Off the top of my head I have the following from Islay...

    Bowmore 12 YO
    Bowmore 15 YO
    Laphroaig 10 YO
    Laphroaig quarter cask
    Laphroaig 30 YO
    Lagavulin 16 YO
    Ardberg Uigeadail
Bunnahabhain - can't recall the exact one as I haven't tried it yet.
    Caol Ila Distillers edition

And there are some others I am probably missing...Laphroaig has always been my "go to" until I had the Ardberg for the first time.
