I hope for the best after what has happened. This mad me sad, You tend to know everything about Omega, or at least you know more than anybody else I'll ever know.
Al, glad to hear all is well. Please make sure to keep the ID cards that come with the stent, or better yet, make sure you know exactly what sort of stent they used (bare metal vs drug eluting), especially if you ever need to come off your anti-platelet agents for whatever reason.
Great news Al. Thanks goodness we all live in a time where medical science can, relatively easily, deal with things like this. Absolutely amazing.
Al, you're supposed to be an immortal. There aren't many true watchmakers anymore so you have to live forever. Now start taking better care of yourself so you outlive everyone's watch. Glad to hear you're okay and going home. While nurses can be cute, hospital food freakin' sucks.... except maybe for the Jello.
Damn Al, just reading this. Best wishes for a speedy recovery (and that has nothing to do with moon watch restorations)!
Al, here's hoping not only for a swift recovery, but a complete one also. (None of my business I know, but...) At these times, some great changes can be made, for nothing changes without pressure. We all want you around for a long time, so, be kind to your self, love that body, and put your health and well being before any movement, and especially any of us. Nothing is more important than YOU. I'm also past my bullet proof days.. Take care... Regards
Woohoo! Heading home today! Not sure exactly when but it feels good to know I'm finally getting out of here... I can't thank you all enough for your words of encouragement over the last few days. It will take a while to get back into the swing of things (I don't think I could hold my tweezers right now with how sore my wrist is) but I'll be back at the bench soon I hope! Cheers, Al
Geez you take a few days off the forum to get some work done and look what happens. Al, wish you the best for a speedy recovery. You're a very lucky man. You should be good as new. Best
I agree with the sentiment but I never miss a chance to hijack a thread. This reminds me of a favorite anecdote from George Orwell. In the Spanish civil war he was shot through the neck by a sniper - in through the front And out through the back. He survived - amazing story in itself - for those interested I cannot recommend his memoir Homage to Catalonia too highly. Anyway, lots of people told him he was very lucky. He remarked that he couldn't help thinking he would have been luckier if the sniper had missed.
Al, Late coming to this thread, but glad you are on the mend. All the best for a full and quick recovery.
