have had this longines for 25 years now ......
find it little odd to have enamel application on a dial for steel gold model ......
comments and views and insights from fellow collectors invited i am a lesser mortal as far as longines and it's history is concerned. DSC_0454.JPG DSC_0456 (2).JPG DSC_0457.JPG

Looks like it could be a Conquest power reserve with a very suspect repainted dial and well worn case.

Would you not expect to see Longines above the logo?

my knowledge is pedestrian as far as longines is concerned but i can tell you 100% the dial is by no stretch of imagination repainted and is original factory fitted.
the pictures are of poor quality let me click and upload more clear sharp pictures

Enamel finishes don't really change much over the years compared to lacquer, so if this is original this is really ugly from the original out of factory state! Look at the glue residues from under some of the hour markers and where does it say Longines on the dial?

It looks like half of those markers fell off at some point (specially at 12th), or this watch went swimming at some point.. just a really bad piece

    Very different offering.

i agree with you as far as condition goes.....
if you look carefully in the center beneath the blue enamel gloss you can see calender markings mon to sun showing through the transparent blue enamel gloss if there are people who can do that kind of job in repaints well i am @ my wits end and speechless ::book::

No it's not a repaint job, it's an ugly re-enamel job! Unless it's a "prototype"...

Somebody did a hack paint job on that dial. That's all there is to it. India is NOTORIOUS for horrid redials and "custom" colors. If you don't like the answer, don't ask the question.

That watch didn't have a calendar. It was a power reserve meter - and that's IF it was a spinning disc in the center. Who knows what comes out of that region - frankenmasters practice regularly.
