I want to buy this watch but I don't know if it is original or fake .Seller can not open it to show me the movement . Can someone help me with some advice ? Thank you
Appears okay but it is a ladies model. 13mm bracelet, bit of stretch but that can be tightened up. What is the asking price?
Well I'm in the US so you'll have to ask someone in the UK. I know the market there is a bit different. £350 is $700usd but I know it doesn't quite balance that way.
I wish the gbp:usd exchange rate was 2:1 -id be buying a lot more from over there if so. Its more like $500. Just to be really clear in case you missed the point above - it is a 'princess', not a 'princes'. Other than that, I have no idea what its worth.
I know, I was being a bit wry about the exchange rate. If £350 is worth it to you, I think you'll be right in and around its value. I don't see you overpaying.
Very ingenious of the seller to position the minute hand so carefully to partially obscure the model name. Or am I just being a suspicious old fart
Haha thank goodness. Tudor or has a long history of calling men'a watches Prince and women's Princess. Goes with the whole "Royal" theme haha!
quite normal to see that on a ladies model case back. some older Rolex ladies models have this same engraving minus the "Rolex Oyster Case..."
Agreed but I've never seen the separate engraving in a different letter type. Still think it is legit.
That's what I'm talking about. The separate engraving that looks like an after thought was on the case back from the beginning. Rolex then engraved the coronet and the deeper text later on. The oyster case back is interchangeable across the two brands
So........what is the conclusion , it is the watch genuine or not ? Can I pay 350 pounds for this watch ? Thank you !
Of course it's real. price is okay too. Bracelet has some stretch to it, but for a watch from this era that's to be expected. It appears to be an honest ladies Tudor with a Rolex marked bracelet. It could use a new crystal. I would definitely get it serviced but at the very, absolute, bone-dry minimum get it pressure tested. I pressure test all of my Rolex watches annually. The seals perish eventually and no oyster case stays waterproof forever. If you get the watch serviced, they'll replace the crystal and pressure test as standard (at least they should) and that way you can start your own service history.
I found an auction on ebay : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-VINT...es_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item5afef89fcaPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network It seems that watch is identical to the one that I want to buy .Remains to see the end of the auction for price
