This is coming up for auction and I admit to some interest, will still on my travels so without inspection I would only go for a low ball offer. Questions with only one image to go on, am I right to consider the second hand is not correct and lume is missing from hands? dark marks to batons are simply shadows and as always an idea of value - the piece is reported as recently serviced
Finished work a bit early today, gardening called. Couldn't resist a self indulgent shot in the autumn sunshine -
Looks nice, sharp case and nice dial and it looks like the lume is there in the hands...is this the full size case..if so DIBS!
The second hand puzzles me a bit, on the wrist it looks black which is what I would expect but with you I like the way it came out in that shot. Hoping to contact whoever serviced it and find out if they had a close look at the hands, they look to me as if a clean should do the trick.
Nice piece - I have one as well - 7809 from 1953. Explorer style dial 3-6-9-12 with the blue hand. Blue hand is normal.
Not any good ones handy but I might take some this weekend if the sun is out. The CFB lighting doesn't catch the hand. This one needs a little work. I have another in good shape with a red tipped hand.
Great looking vintage Tudor. These are excellent watches at (currently) reasonable prices. I have a 1957 ref. 7950 with a Honeycomb 3/6/9/12 arabic dial and bombe lugs.
Reintitan, agree with you 100% some really good deals still available but for how much longer ? Three in my meagre collection but hope to increase that number before prices hit realistic levels.
