Thats one of those bamboo bracelets by the looks, I've got one on an old Cyma somwhere, they're actually meant to look like that.

    Dear OFGs,
    (Omega Forum Guys)

The bracelet is known as a Bonklip or commonly called a bamboo bracelet.

The band is a chain of rectangular thingo's with one side shorter than the other, and the other longer side threaded through the end of the shorty and back around the wrist to end with a clip inserted through the "ladder".

Thus providing an almost infinite adjustment.

They were commonly used in WW2 military watches (and I think maybe even Speedies, anyone clarify?????).

To find a real "Bonklip" these days, especially in 18mm or so is a real joy (if it is genuine).

Interestingly, unless you're Dennis, or someone of similar hirsute endowment, they don't really act as a depalitator.

    Cheers

    Jim

A genuine 18mm would be a find, quite a few 16mm around and plenty of wannabe's - this auction is now at £72 which to my mind would be a max gamble.
