The wonderful irony for US collectors wanting to score some toys is even if the US embargo of Cuba did end, the US embargo on Rolex would still be in place so you're limited to just one, or a roll of the dice :)

You can just swim back or the Columbians will move your stuff for a price. Any problem can be solved! Regards. Bill

Just curious and I mean no offense but why repeat your name after every post? I can understand if it is your real name but why repeat the username? we can see who posts each post. genuinely curious

I sign my name to everything I post as a sign that I stand behind my facts.

If someone quotes me, I hope that they will at least include my signature.

    Doesn't always happen, though.

This sounds like an opportunity for a forum sponsored trip to Cuba. What do you say Al? ;)

Let's set it up. An official watch collectors outreach tour is important to advancing Cuba relations:D Regards. Bill

Naw, he's more of a Quartz guy. Still, he may do alright unless Dennis gets to Cuba first. :cautious:

Damn, now all the beaches will be filled with Yanks! ;) Okay not just yet, but it's coming.

Apparently Canada helped "facilitate" the negotiations, which is not surprising since we have had a very close relationship with Cuba for decades. Pierre Trudeau (former PM of Canada) was the first Western leader to visit Cuba I believe after Castro took over, and Fidel was a pall bearer at Trudeau's funeral in Ottawa back in 2000...

Heard on the news that Cuba is the 3rd most popular vacation destination for Canadians, so when the Yanks do finally come down there, they will hear a lot of "eh" and "aboot" going on...

I was there last year. Beautiful country, very hospitable people. There were some US visitors there, but mostly Canadian, Australian, and German that we met. The beaches are great, though I didn't find any good places for surfing. And Havana is of course like a little time warp zone. Vintage everything, all in great condition!

Don't be too worried, when their first American contact in a generation is Dennis arriving in a Philly Flyers jersey paired with a diamond encrusted white gold quartz Longines dress watch its entirely possible they'll petition the United Nations to have the embargo re-instated. ::rimshot::

In Argentina we have many places where you can find treasures as well . There are places in my country where time seems to stop without losing the natural beauty of the modern. Not everything that can be seen from the outside usually is. I have been fortunate to travel the world and yet I still do . I can assure you that Argentina is still a beautiful place to live, even though our political country. By the way , I bought some shirts adidas there.

    Best , Ricardo BA, Arg.
