I think it was removed by E-Bay for the reasons I stated in my previous post in this thread I did actually message the seller via E-Bay to let him know he was doing something wrong by asking for PayPal fees to be paid as was curious to see just what this sold for. Even though it is not something I would buy I do think it looked great and would like to have seen what it ended up selling for.

Now that the listing has been removed, there were a couple of things troubling me about that watch.

After looking at Desmond's site and a couple of other reference points, I can find no other Ref. 2700 watches with the cal. 352 movement. All were cal. 354. Not that I had a very large sample size (of 2). Both had the wider lugs similar to the later gold bumper Constellations Ref. 2652, 2799, etc.)

Certainly the paperwork referenced the movement shown in the watch. However, I was concerned that perhaps the case had been played around with, due to the anomalies mentioned in the post.

Anyway, the seller has some thinking to do before relisting. eBay will not allow seller to charge extra for taking payments by credit cards or PayPal. Have to protect the PayPal brand, and the practice is illegal in some US states.

You are allowed to offer a discount for cash payments, but not on eBay.

    Hope this helps,

I am very curious about the movement, serial number matched chronometer certificate. Mine came as a "bonus" surprise with a 352 RG cased in stainless 2577-6 I bought a few years ago! I have been at this for nearly 25 years, focusing on Omega about the last 7-8 years.

My certificate was the only one I had seen prior to this listing. How common are these certificates for 352 RG's and how much does it add to value?

They exist but are very uncommonly seen. I think they definitely add to the value of the watch (hard to put a dollar figure since they are not frequently seen) - but the watch itself has to be in nice shape.
